"Success in golf depends less on strength of body than upon strength of mind and character.”

Gerad Matthew Lee
Gerad's story is one of passion, hard work, and perseverance. Born and raised in Northern California, he is a rising star in the Bay Area golf scene, known for his talent and unwavering dedication to the game. Gerad's parents, Filipino-Chinese immigrants, settled in the Bay Area, and from an early age, they instilled in him the value of hard work, dedication, and perseverance.
Gerad's love for golf began on his second birthday when his Dad handcrafted him a putter out of wood. From that moment on, Gerad was hooked, spending countless hours practicing and playing golf. It all started on the putting greens at the Spanish Bay Golf Links in Pebble Beach.
Since 2019, Gerad has competed in over 176 tournaments, with 21 wins and 87 top 5 finishes. Gerad has qualified to participate in various team events, such as the PGA Jr League (2020) and the AJGA California Cup (2023). Gerad was also a regional finalist for the Drive Chip and Putt in 2022.
Gerad is currently the co-captain of the Monta Vista High School team and will graduate in June 2025. Gerad aspires to play college golf at a top program where he can nurture his intellectual curiosity and channel his passion for competition. Ultimately, he wants to pursue a degree in Finance and/or Business, leveraging his skills on and off the course to achieve his dreams.
